Human Resource and Administration Officer with Entrepreneurial, Pro-active, and Organizational skills needed at Mazima CDI, Jinja, Uganda.
Job Description
Mazima CDI is a Christian charity organization working in Community Development, Education, and Health.
The HR / Administration Officer will support in development and implementation of the organization’s strategies, policies and programs in line with its goals. This is to be done alongside the department’s mandate of offering logistical support and maintenance of an efficient and conducive working environment for all staff, students, and other stakeholders of Mazima CDI, leading to accomplishment of the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- To develop maximum efficiency, proactive attitude, and time management culture in all staff members of Mazima CDI.
- To support in development of positive team spirit in the organization.
- To oversee recruitment and appraisals of staff, keeping HR files up to date, and ensuring compliance of working hours and other responsibilities of staff.
- Overseeing the enforcement of Mazima CDI Staff Rules and Regulations according to the staff handbook and code of conduct.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all the Office Facilities are fully functional.
- Supporting the development and effective implementation of the organization’s Annual Work plans, staff performance tracking system.
- Supporting in Identification of key risks in the organization and ensuring that they are mitigated against.
Qualification
- A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Entrepreneurship Studies.
Working experience
- A minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in similar position.
Desired key competencies
- Demonstrated Leadership, Managerial and Entrepreneurial skills are a must.
- Proactive work attitude is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Good Decision Making and Problem-Solving Skills.
