The Mazima Community Development Initiative (MazimaCDI) has intensified its community outreach to promote vocational education across the districts of Iganga, Kamuli, Bugiri, and Kayunga, including surrounding communities near the training center.

Vocational training that leads to employment and income is one of our strategic priorities, especially for the vast number of teenage mothers and young people who are unable to access the labour market due to a lack of education. Without opportunities, they remain trapped in extreme poverty.

In 2026, MazimaCDI aims to reinforce its three pillars of self‑reliance, particularly in rural areas where needs are greatest:

1. Education
  • Skills‑based vocational training for vulnerable youth
  • Support for children with educational or financial disadvantages in our preschool
  • Capacity building for local primary schools
2. Medical Accessibility
  • Expansion of our clinic with an emergency department
  • Provision of an ambulance
  • Construction of medical housing for permanent medical support
3. Self‑Sustainability
  • Purchasing land to help the 70% unemployed villagers cultivate food
  • Ensuring food security
  • Providing school fees for children of vulnerable families
Your support makes a direct impact.
