In 2024, Mazima extended its support to St. Mary’s School in Buyala, marking another step in our mission to enhance education in underserved communities.
Through the provision of a new computer, monitor, and printer, the school is now able to print homework, assignments, and educational materials for over 1,200 students. This vital support has improved access to learning resources, especially for students without access to digital tools at home.
Mazima CDI addresses child education challenges by partnering with community schools like St. Paul’s Parents’ School and St. Mary’s Primary School. We provide scholastic materials, mentorship, and financial support for vulnerable children. Our approach includes engaging parents, training teachers, and creating safe, inclusive learning environments to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.
Every child is a seed of hope, nurture them today, and they will shape the world tomorrow.
Despite strides, many Ugandan children still face significant barriers to quality education. Poverty, long distances to school, lack of qualified teachers, inadequate infrastructure, and cultural norms, especially for girls, often prevent bright young minds from reaching their full potential. Over 60% of children in Uganda struggle to meet basic proficiency in reading and math by the end of primary school, and far too many drop out due to financial hardships or other obstacles. This isn't just a statistic; it's a daily reality for countless children whose dreams are put on hold.
we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive. Education is not just about books; it's about unlocking potential, breaking cycles of poverty, and building self-reliant, prosperous lives. We invite you to join a compassionate community dedicated to providing foundational education and lifelong learning opportunities for children across Uganda.
