Mazima CDI Launches New Antenatal and Postnatal Clinic to Support Mothers and Newborns

We are proud to announce the official launch of our Antenatal and Postnatal Clinic at Fr. Picavet Health Centre, a significant addition to our growing commitment to holistic community well-being. The new clinic aims to provide accessible, compassionate, and quality maternal health services to expectant and new mothers in the Kabowa–Jinja area and surrounding communities.

The launch event took place on 3rd June 2025, attended by expectant mothers, healthcare workers, community leaders, and the dedicated staff of Mazima Community Development Initiative. The new unit was inaugurated by Nurse Joan, the lead midwife, alongside Dr. Patricia, our maternal health coordinator.

“This facility is more than just a clinic, it’s a safe space where mothers will be guided, supported, and empowered through every stage of pregnancy and early motherhood,” said Dr. Patricia at the launch.

The clinic offers various antenatal and postnatal services, including prenatal checkups, nutrition counseling, birth preparedness, newborn screening, immunization support, and maternal education sessions. We aim to reduce maternal and infant health risks by ensuring timely care and access to reliable information.
